Norman Andrew Williams (Norm), was 59 years old when he passed away in Nanaimo. He was born in Scarborough, Ontario but moved to BC for the rest of his life. He worked in many hotels as a Certified Red Seal Chef and his last place of work was at the Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo where he made a lot of great friends who also became family to all of us. Norm was always making jokes and loved making people laugh. He traveled to Alaska, Vegas, and California but his favourite was going on our family trip to Mexico where he saw the Mayan Ruins that he always wanted to see as he loved the History channel. His favourite thing to do after work was to take our dogs Eddie, KC, and little Norman for a walk at night. Eddie was his buddy that he is in heaven with now. Norm was a kind person who was always lending a hand to anyone who needed help. He was always willing to help at work to cover shifts if people were sick, he would say "they need me and I am there for them". Norms friends and family are all sharing in the loss as a large family and that is how everyone will remember him.
Norm leaves behind his loving wife Kathy, children Kyla and Cody and mother-in-law Bev. Norm will also be missed by his brother Thomas (daughters Rhea and Lora, grandchildren Amanda, Maggee and Jacob), his brother-in-law Al and (wife Rachel, daughter Chloe), his sister-in-law Jennifer (husband Rob), as well as his extended family from his work and friends outside his work. Norm is predeceased by his mother and father Vera and Albert Williams.
Our family wants to thanks everybody who has sent us flowers, cards, and condolences during this hard time. We really appreciate the support.
Till we meet again my love and rest well till then.
