Ralph Kenneth Hocken, born in 1948 in Victoria, BC to Ines and Carrol, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025.
Ralph, a skilled welder, spent most of his life in Lantzville, BC. Ralph was an avid reader who loved discussing world affairs. He found joy in gardening, woodworking, stamp collecting, and watching the Masters. Ralph was passionate about bird watching and photography, and although he never had pets he cherished songbirds and raptors in nature.
Ralph is survived by his younger brother, Gregory Hocken, and his family, as well as dear family friends Terri Wilmer and her daughters, Colleen and Gayla. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village for their care and compassion during Ralph's final years.
Ralph will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
