

Robert (Bob or Bobby), age 76 of Bethune/Katepwa Beach Saskatchewan passed away suddenly on December 21, 2022 at his home in Nanaimo, BC.
Bob will be missed by his wife Dorothy, daughter Twila (Roger), and son Rob (Marquise), brother Harvey and nieces and nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his father Bob, his mother Pearl (Amberson/Wood), his brother Jack, sister Joyce and many dear Aunts and Uncles.
Bob attended school and spent his childhood years in Bethune, Sask. He had such fond memories of the friendships and fin times of his youth, and he could talk endlessly about the people and events. Upon completion of High School (though he wasn’t totally certain they had passed him) he began work at the Regina General Hospital and 31 years later retired from that very place. Most of those years he worked as a printer in the in house print shop, his last few years were spent in inventory control. He was a dedicated unionist and was involved with Local 176 for many years.
In his younger years Bob enjoyed soft ball, curling, canoeing, camping, fishing and duck hunting trips with friends and his son were a must every fall. Following retirement Bob spent his summers at the family cottage where he golfed and golfed. He loved that golf course and being a people person enjoyed more than a visit and a cold Pilsner with his fellow golfers. For Bob a good story was never to be told quickly and friends would sometimes ask him for the Reader’s digest version.
Friends and family are invited to attend a “Let’s Remember Bob” gathering for golf and fewllowship later in the summer.
