Shirley is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Jack who passed away in 2019. Family was
everything to both Jack and Shirley. Their home was always open to family and friends, where
you could always find some of Shirley’s delicious baking, a few good stories and lots of laughter.
Shirley spent many of her fondest years raising her children and grandchildren at their Nanaimo
property which is now known as Piper’s Lagoon Park.
Shirley is predeceased by her sister Kay Waring (Bob), and survived by her siblings: Barbara
Brenden, Joel (Maeve), Reneé Michaelis (Roy), Andy, Paul (Louise), Rob (Cathy). Her children:

(Jane), Brenden (Nicole), Jordan (Karla), Jimmy, Jesse, and great grandchildren: Annika,
