It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Viola Caroline Miller, who passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, in Parksville, British Columbia, at the age of 86.
Viola was born on October 28, 1939, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She married in 1959 and spent many years building her life and raising her family in Prince Albert. Later, the family made their way to Prince George, British Columbia, and eventually she settled in Parksville, where she spent her later years.
Our mom was a woman known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived her life with a generous heart, always putting others before herself and offering support, encouragement, and love to anyone who needed it.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including working in her garden, going on trips, fishing, playing bingo or visiting the casino, and spending time with family and friends playing games and cards. She loved to laugh, enjoyed time at the park, and cherished long conversations with friends.
Viola was predeceased by her spouse, Howard Miller, and her son, Larry Miller.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: daughters Joan Kleinsteuber, Judy Michaud (Mich), and Cheryl Neurauter; and sons Leroy Miller (Kelly Wass). She is also survived by her sisters Adelina, Doreen, Irene, and Margaret; her grandchildren Christine Kleinsteuber, Jennifer Welch, Danielle Welch, Robin Peterson, Tawnie Sigurdson, Sarah Rushton, Melissa Neurauter, Shawn Neurauter, and Howard Neurauter; sister-in-law Deloris Dow; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared when available.
Forever loved.
