He was born October 3, 1940 in Cuba the son of Abelardo Martinez and Rosa Amaro.
He came to Naples in 1973 and was the owner of Dependable Sod and later Fantasy Nursery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Abby Martinez, and two sisters Adria Leon and Victoria Martinez.
Survived by his ex-wife, Maria Martinez and sister, Maria Isabel Martinez.
A visitation for Abelardo will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108, followed by an interment at 1:00 PM
Abelardo will be laid to rest in Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108; Sunrise Mausoleum.
