Al had a PHD in psychology and while living in Westport, Connecticut was head of the Psychology Department at Hall Brooke Hospital and maintained a robust private practice. He was known for his caring, his insightfulness.
Alvin Sashin is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Sheryl Sashin, his adoring daughters, Elyse Sashin and Erica Sashin, his son-in-law Spencer Platt and granddaughter Vivienne Platt.
In lieu of flowers donations might be made to Avow Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
