

Anne Norma (Fusco) Romita, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in her home at Moorings Park in Naples, Florida with her family at her side. Born Anna Norma Fusco on September 5, 1931, the daughter of Genoveffa (Suozzo) and Emilio Fusco. She and her two brothers were raised in the Bronx, NY.
Anne graduated from James Monroe High School and worked in Manhattan for several years before meeting Louis Romita. They were married in 1953 and had four children all of whom were raised in Pelham Manor, NY. Anne worked for many years at Saks Fifth Avenue and the Sumitomo Corporation in Manhattan. She moved to Brooklands in Bronxville, NY and later The Greens in New Rochelle, NY. After her husband passed away in 2007, she divided her time between New Rochelle and Bay Colony in Naples, FL, before moving to Moorings Park full time in 2020. Her beloved niece Tina Fusco lived nearby and was a constant source of joy during her last years.
Anne loved fashion, cooking, shopping, travel, reading, dancing, interior design and spending time with family and friends. She made lifelong friends wherever she lived and worked and will be missed by many. Elegance was her trademark and it was reflected in her personal style and homes.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, her son Mauro Michael Romita, her brother Aldo Fusco and nephew Michael Fusco.
She is survived by three children and their spouses; Lisa Romita and Robert Bischoff of New York, NY, Louis Romita and Linda Fujita of Water Mill, NY, Lynda Romita and Mark McRiley of Essex, CT, two grandchildren, Noa and Louis “Quinn” McRiley, step-grandson Kenzo Semper, her brother Antonio Fusco and his partner Annette Esposito of Selden, NY, and five nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held in Bronxville, NY this Spring. The details will be published at a later date.
