Armand Calzadilla was born on March 29, 1958. He passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Armand was a dedicated firefighter and paramedic Lieutenant for the Bonita Springs Fire Department, where he began working in 1995. He also worked as a paramedic for Collier County Emergency Medical Services for 10 years prior to joining the Bonita Springs Fire Department. Armand was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Becky Calzadilla, his son Armando Calzadilla (with spouse Ilette Calzadilla), his daughter Zamilee Zapata (with spouse Jose Zapata), his stepchildren Tiffany Valero, Albert Valero, the late Jordan Valero (1997-2016), his granddaughters Savannah Calzadilla, Madison Calzadilla, Isabella Zapata, and his sister Dolores Ponte (with spouse Enrique Ponte), his nephews Enrique and Esteban Ponte, and his niece Elyse Ros. Armand’s viewing will take place on Tuesday, October 10th, Hodges Funeral Home at Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Avenue North, Naples, FL 34108, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., followed by an honorary funeral service to take place on Wednesday, October 11th at First Presbyterian Church, 9751 Bonita Beach Road SE, Bonita Springs, FL 34135, at 2:00 p.m.
