Barbara Ann Nowak

Barbara was born in Neenah, Wisconsin to Carl and Gertrude Meier on March 25, 1937. She attended St. Mary Catholic School in Menasha, Wisconsin and graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing, Fon du Lac, WI. She married Lawrence (Larry) from Appleton, WI on January 17, 1959 at St Mary Catholic Church in Menasha, WI.

She worked as an operating room nurse at Theda Clark Hospital and occupational health nurse at Kimberly Clark Corporation both in Neenah, WI.

Working in her gardens at Legend Lake, WI cottage and Naples, FL home were her favorite pastimes.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father and mother Carl and Gertrude Meier, sisters Patti Schultz and Gerry Meier, and brother Gordon. Daughter-in-law Debbie Nowak and granddaughter Lexi Nowak. Missed greatly, her beloved dog Tootsie.

Barbara is survived by her husband Larry, children Greg, Paul, Susan, and Patrick. Her brother Paul Meier. Grandchildren Ashley Weiss, Lanie Nowak, Peter, Samantha, Matthew and Kathryn Regala, Nick, Joe and Ellie Nowak. Great granddaughters Harper and Blakley Weiss.

A Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date. Cremation arrangements are made by Hodges Funeral Homes in Naples, FL. Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be held at St Mary Catholic Church, Menasha, WI April 3 at 7:00pm and St Mary Magdalen Church, Altamonte Springs, FL June 29 5:00pm.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Premier Place at Glenview and Naples Community Hospital, and Larry’s neighbors and friends who have been so supportive during her illness.
