Barbara Dianne Snyder (Hawes), beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on February 15th, 2023 in her home in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Barbara was born in Painesville, Ohio, on May 23, 1949. She graduated from Perry High School (Ohio) in 1967. Barbara moved to southwest Florida in 1973 to join her parents and other family that had recently relocated to the area.
Barbara raised five children in southwest Florida, and worked for nearly 30 years as the manager of an area dry cleaner. Barbara was a devout woman of faith, and a member of the Tice Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and sisters.
Barbara is survived by her children, Andrew Snyder (Lisa), Colley Snyder, Misty Snyder (Kevin Cunniff), and Chad Snyder (Sabrina), along with four grandchildren, Derek Snyder, Peyton Snyder, Willow Snyder, and Vivian Snyder. Barbara was preceded by the passing of her son, Charles “Todd” Snyder (2014).
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens on Sunday, May 28th, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
