Barbara Ann Steele

Barbara Ann Steele, resident of Bonita Springs, Florida and previously Phoenix, Maryland passed away peacefully May 9, 2025. Better known as Bobbie to her dear friends and family. She was born in New Egypt, New Jersey on June 21, 1932.

Barbara graduated from New Egypt high school then received her bachelor of nursing degree at Helene Fuld College of Nursing associated with William McKinley Memorial Hospital, Trenton New Jersey.

Bobbie was married to the love of her life Frank Brewer Steele on March 19, 1954. She enjoyed a fulfilling career in nursing while being a devoted mom to her beloved children. She always put her family first, made friends with everyone she touched and had a passion for travel, tennis, gardening, entertaining, and swimming. Her haven was her cherished ocean, riding the rolling waves bringing out her fun loving child spirit.

Barbara is survived by her two loving sons, Timothy Steele (wife Maura) and Shannon Steele (wife Brigid); grandchildren Jessica Steele Menard ( husband Kevin), Lynsey Steele (husband Brad), Brendan Steele (wife Kristen) and Ryan Steele; great grandchildren, Alexandra, Madison, Zianna, Hudson, Sage and Millie.

The family plans to have a celebration of life on her birthdate, June 21, 2025 at Liberatore’s Ristorante in Timonium, MD from 12pm-3pm. If desired, donations can be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation online at www.parkinson.org.

The family also wishes to thank her tremendous caregivers who enriched the end of her life and provided tremendous comfort and dignity.
