My sister. My best friend.  My heart aches every day without you here. I miss everything about you. Your smile. Your laugh. Our memories. I replay them over and over. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you. It will never seem real that you’re gone, and it’ll never be the same. Every time I think about how I’ll never get to see you again it just breaks my heart. I’d give anything to see your smile, hear your laugh and hear your voice again. I hope you knew how much you were loved by me, and that I would do anything in the world for you. You always had a special place in my heart and you always will. You’re my guardian angel now and I know you’ll always watch over me from above. I am in utter disbelief. My heart is breaking for your family. I remember meeting you and the family almost ten years ago. Being in Florida alone at the time, I felt like I had a piece of home while working with you all at the restaurant. I will cherish the memories we have, especially when you would make me beautiful birthday cannolis :). Rest easy angel. I am praying for your parents and sisters with all of my heart. ❤️

Dear Brittany,

I miss your infectious laugh, your kind heart your sense of humor and your beautiful smile. You left us too soon and although your bodily presence is no longer on earth your spirit is forever near and dear in my heart and in all the hearts of those who love you. Come visit us as often as possible as I believe the veil between our universes is fluid. 

My heart aches to hear of your passing, especially so early in our lives. Although we lost touch after high school, I hope you know how much I valued your friendship so much back then. I'll always treasure our fun times and laughs together. You were a true force who didn't care what anyone else thought. You were true to yourself and did things your way and it was that courage that I wholeheartedly admired. I hope that you've found peace and feel how loved you are. Thank you for your friendship, truly.

You left us too soon Brittany.  There were more experiences and love your family and those around you wanted to share with you,  but they and we will find ways to continue to love and keep your memory alive.

Brittany, 

Nothing I could write here would ever do this justice,  it still feels surreal. You had so much life left to live, so much left to discover about yourself, we had so many more memories to make.. It wasn't your time. And I'm so sorry. 

I’ll never forget that night in Ocean City, when you made me go on the pirate ship ride. I was terrified to go, but you said I'd be ok. And I was. But the part that I remember most was the scream you let out when we got to the top. It was the longest, most high-pitched screech I had ever heard - people around us were truly astounded at the noise - and in that moment  I couldn't stop laughing. Knowing you were just as afraid as me made me feel better. We laughed until my belly hurt and soaked up the buzz of the boardwalk and the ocean breeze, life felt easy. 

I hate that you’re gone. And I hate that so many of our family are gone with you.. But I hope at least that their presence is bringing you some peace wherever you are.  If you see them, please tell them all that I love them, and that I think of them often.

Karyn, Joe, Jillian and Chelsea, I am so heartbroken to hear of beautiful Brittany’s passing. 
When Chelsea and Kelsey became friends way back in 1999, I gained your entire family as friends. I cherish the many family vacations … Cancun, Hershey Park, Splish Splash and neighborhood celebrations…block parties and New Year’s Eve. Brittany always smiling and happy and looking out for the girls.

Brittany, I am so heartbroken over this. You had the most kind and genuine heart with the best sense of humor! Jillian was my best friend in high school and I’ll always remember how much she loved and protected her younger sisters. I became so close with you through her and I will always be grateful for knowing you. I will never forget you and all the fun times we had. 

When I was ten years old I was lucky enough to be introduced to not only my best friend Chelsea but also her whole family including her older sister Brittany. For anyone who had the honor to be around Britt knows what a special person she was. She was an exceptionally beautiful soul inside and out. She had a sense of humor that I loved, it was a little dark and cynical just like me which is why I think we got along the way we did. I have lots of special memories with Britt that I will now cherish for the rest of my life, these memories go way back to fighting over the computer in the basement with Chelsea at the NY house to going down to Miami to drink Pina coladas and frozen Miami vices together all the while laughing our asses off; that laugh of hers was so contagious I can literally hear it right now. Britt's bond with her sisters was unlike anything else. She had the biggest heart and that truly showed when it came to all her animal companions she made along the way throughout her life… Ziggy, mister Mishka, being her closest pal of all, he brought her so much happiness and love.  This world will never have another person in it like Brittany Arato, she was truly one of a kind and amazing in her own special way. I hope you know how tremendously loved you are Britt. I know that you are now Chelsea’s guardian angel and will keep her safe always watching over her, she needs you now the most. We will all meet again in the future I love you so much Brittany.


My heart hurts so very much…my deepest condolences to your family and friends during this time of unimaginable sorrow.  I will forever miss the beautiful soul that was my daughter’s best friend and a welcomed guest in our home…I can’t believe she is gone…it is so incredibly hard to imagine and conceive…every time I think of it, I’m crushed & devastated…what a loss, she truly was a special gift from God. Can’t believe I’m writing this right now. Brittany, I’m so sorry. I wish things would’ve been different. The fact that you’re gone doesn’t even feel real. I lost contact with you and the family over time , hearing this news completely crushed me.. I was just telling Chelsea how my favorite memory is when you, Chels and i went to see Hippie Sabotage. We had an amazing time and met up with Kelsey. The music , the atmosphere, the vibe, everything was great. You were the happiest i had ever seen you. 100% in your element. I am so happy to have known such a kind soul like you. Your laugh was contagious and you had the funniest , care free personality. I’m very thankful for the time we did have together, even if it was at Rosedale or hanging out on your lanai with chelsea and Zig, just laughing and exchanging positive energy. You deserved much better than what the world gave you.. you’ll be remembered and missed by many. I wish you could’ve realized the wonderful affect you had on the people you came across. i hope you rest in paradise Brittany.

I am absolutely stunned to hear the news. You were my very first best friend when I moved from Queens to Long Island in second grade. We went through growing pains together, and I was at your house all the time. I remember first learning how to use AOL and Limewire at your house. And how we used to listen to CDs on the boom box in your bedroom. Your love of animals has always impacted me and made me more conscious, up thru til adulthood. You taught me so much! I'm sorry we lost touch after high school but I'm glad we kept up sporadically on social media. Thank you for being my first real friend and introducing me to so many others. I no longer felt like "the new kid" when you introduced me to everyone on the playground & on your block. Thank you 

It is with a very heavy heart that I say goodbye to the  best friend I’ve ever had. I would give anything to talk to you again, see you smile.. I can’t believe you’re gone. I just wanted to see you grow and prosper, live life , find love and happiness. 

You really brought me out of my shell and helped me to see the bright side of any situation. There is so many adventures left undone , places we never got to travel.. 

You had this way about you that lit up the room, able to brighten anyone’s day.

Brittany was a gift to the world.   She was loving,  and a straight-shooter, something I deeply admired about her. She was a mighty force to be reckoned with. There are no words to express loosing your best friend. Brittany I miss you, and I wish that was enough to accurately describe how I feel, but it doesn’t, not even close.  The memories that we share bring me some comfort as the days go on. You will forever be my soul sister.  My heart hurts so much, but it also is filled with so much love, especially for you.

Brittany,  I was in complete shock and deeply saddened when I heard the news. I will always remember the hours we spent outside by the pool talking. There were a few tearful moments but much more laughter! You touched my life in ways that you never knew and I wish I would have told you how much our conversations meant to me. You will be missed but not forgotten. My condolences go out to your family who I will forever be grateful and in their debt for what they have done for me!

Brittany was a good friend to our daughter and especially attentive to our grandson.  Although my husband and I have not seen her in over a year due to the pandemic, we will always remember her kindness and sociability.  Brittany was caring and thoughtful and introduced our daughter to the veterinary business by referring her to her first job in that field.  She was a good person and we will miss her always.  Our deepest sympathies go toward her family and friends.

Anyone who truly knew Brittany knew that she kept her circle small, but those that were she adored with so much love. If there is one memory or anything that I can truly say I’ve learned from you over the past decade that I’ve known you and that is to love yourself inside and out. Love is not just beauty on the outside, but being able to feel comfortable and express yourself in your skin. To the Arato family, my condolences are with you as you are my family as well. To Brittany, you will be remembered forever and will ALWAYS hold a special piece of my heart ❤️ 

Brittany, you are such a kind soul & I know that your radiance will remain in the lives of your loved ones for eternity <3   I will never forget you, or your amazing contagious laugh! A memory that sticks out to me has to be when we all went to the Outback Steakhouse after our trip to Busch Gardens and we were all so delirious. We all really wanted that Blooming onion, and could barely pronounce it haha. I will miss you dearly. I am sending all my love to the Arato Family.
