Cali Reyes Walters

Cali Reyes Walters of Naples, Florida, left too soon for Heaven on February 21, 2022. She was born October 27, 2006, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Lt Col Christopher B. Walters, USMC (Ret.) and Milenes Walters (née Reyes), and her loving older sister, Elena R. Walters.

Cali was a “military brat,” living all over the country, including in Virginia, Hawaii, North Carolina, as well as Tampa (FL) and Carlsbad (CA), and finally, Naples. She considered Ocean City (NJ) her summer home and loved the beach, boardwalk, and all her friends there.

Our “Cali-girl” was such a loving, sweet daughter and sister with a radiant positivity and undeniable spirit that touched everyone she met. She channeled her high energy into gymnastics everywhere she lived starting in Hawaii and concluding at Naples Progressive Gym. She carried her gymnastic talents to competitive team cheerleading, as a proud member of Top Gun All-Stars of Southwest Florida. At Barron Collier High School, where Cali was a freshman, she was a member of the cheerleading and JV lacrosse teams. We know she is now on Heaven’s varsity cheer team.

Cali so loved her family and her many friends. She wanted to play sports in college and become a pediatric surgeon. She adored children and planned to adopt many kids. Cali also loved the beach, being on the water, sunrises, and sunsets. Her incredible spirit and joy will live on in all those she touched.

Cali is survived by her parents and sister, her grandparents Juan and Dalia Reyes, aunts Mabel and Angie Reyes-Jadovitz, of Orlando, grandfather Lt Col Wm. H. Walters, USMC (Ret.) and Betty Walters, of Naples, and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother Carol R. Walters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 11:30 am-1:30 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 4150 Goodlette-Frank Rd. N., Naples, FL 34103. A Celebration of Cali's life will be at 1:30 PM also at the church. Interment will be private. Burial is at Naples Memorial Gardens.
