Dave, we miss you every time we go to Costco. You were the high point of our day and your smile and pleasant way was always appreciated. The lord has a great man at his side.  You maybe be gone from this earth but you will never be forgotten.

I just found out that David passed last week. It has really been sitting with me. We worked alongside each other for 8 months. He was a true GEM of a human! We had some good laughs! He told me about his life, flying, kids, and grandkids. I told him about my children. He often reminded me of my late Father. We bonded over religion. He really wanted me to know about St. Maria Faustina Kowalska. I always looked forward to seeing him. He will be living on in the hearts of many. Its a true loss for those that didn't even get the opportunity to be in this man's graces. May God Bless your family and you rest peacefully with God Almighty.

We were both very sorry to hear of David’s passing. Each time we visited Costco, we looked for him as we left and spoke with him. He was truly the nicest, friendliest and we joked about things e devoured that his wife also liked.  He was always in a crisp reseed white shirt. You always greeted my wife and myself with the wonderful phrase, “ good evening sir, your dinner table is ready”.   We just loved your attitude, your smile and your positive outlook on life. Our many conversations about your service to our country, all of our health, and what a crazy world we live in will be sadly missed. I was a co-worker of David’s at Costco and I am sorry for your family’s loss. David was a kind and delightful person at work. He was  hardworking and never complained about anything but offered lighthearted conversation and a smile to cheer up anyone. He is and will be missed. When we hadn’t seen him for a while we were all wondering and were deeply saddened to hear the news. I hope he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior and we wish your family God’s blessing of peace.

David is an amazing Man, who impacted everyone who he encountered, and I do mean everyone. I have learned so much from him. Remembering the nights he would follow me to my truck and say “Sir as long as I am here you have nothing to worry about”  Well Mr David I always knew you were there, even when I didn’t see you! We were heartbroken to hear of David’s passing. 
We are merely “Costco shoppers”, but David made us feel as though we were family. 
“How are all those kids?” “You know, the Costco Strawberry Jam only has 3 ingredients and we love it” “don’t forget the water under your cart!”

We loved seeing the photos of him with his grandkids and hearing how much he adored his “better half”. 

David made us want to be kinder, better people. He is our hero. 

Thank you for being such a bright light in this world. Well done, sir.

You were a gentleman, a kind-hearted, caring person who always put a smile on everyone’s face. Your positive attitude was contagious. You always made sure that I safely got into my car after my late night shifts, watched me all the way as I was walking out from the building in the dark parking lot. 
Every time, before I drove away, I rolled down my window and yelled out loud:
Thank you, Sir! Have a good night!
You responded:
You’re welcome, Ma’am! Have a good night!

Now I’m saying it again:

So sorry for the loss of David.He was a great man.I worked with him at Costco.Always had a smile on his face 

I am so very saddened to hear about Mr David's passing. It was a honor to work with him.  My condolences to his entire family. This picture was taken when it was twin day at work. David was a honorable man and it was a privilege to have worked with him. We all have angel looking out for us. Rest in peace Mr. David 💔 

Today I learned that we lost someone dear to my heart. Mr Kury was more than a coworker, he was family. Mr. Kury and I would  speak daily on how my sons decision making was going with deciding on a university and which career path he would take with the US Army. I am so happy I was able to reach out to David last month to check in on him and tell him that my son was honored with receiving the National Army ROTC Scholarship. That was something we spoke to great lengths and detail about and something he was working so hard for. He said it was “the best news he’s heard in weeks, and I should be so proud”. Mr Kury had such a great love of our country and military and had such a positive spirit about him. His smile and light will forever be missed but never forgotten.
