David Cory Samuel

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kim Sanchez, with whom he shared countless cherished moments - especially their favorite pastime of watching sunsets together in many locations throughout the world. Their bond was one of laughter, love, and unwavering support for each other and for all the loved ones in their lives.

Cory was the beloved son of Brenda and Roger Rodriguez and David and Sue Samuel. He shared a close relationship with his in-laws and their families: Tonya and Tony Marrocco and their children Jameson and Cecilia; Amanda and Josh Stegemann with their son Henry. Ryan and Jessica Marler and their daughters Stella and Evelyn. Cory truly was the “Funcle” everyone wishes to have and will be sorely missed by those who called him Uncle Cory.

Cory built a successful career as an IT Director for Marriott, where his expertise and dedication left a lasting impression. His professional accomplishments were matched only by the deep connections he formed with colleagues and friends throughout his life.

Those who knew Cory, describe him as fun-loving, generous, and genuine. His happy-go-lucky spirit lit up every room he entered. He gave freely of himself to others - whether through a helping hand or a heartfelt laugh - and leaves behind a legacy defined by his love for his wife and everyone who knew him.

A man of many passions, Cory was an avid fan of Formula One racing, cheered for the Boston Red Sox and his unique sense of style was reflected in his impressive collections of shoes and watches. Cory’s favorite hobby was fishing and especially enjoyed sharing this hobby with friends, family, and their kids. For this reason, his celebration of life will benefit a local mentoring program for underprivileged kids through fishing excursions.
