

October 3, 2023. She was born on October 20, 1937, in Oak Park, IL, to Ralph and Kathryn Williams. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Jane Williams, her daughter Patti Knop Thompson, and her great-granddaughter Kinsley Rose Redinbo.
Dottie was married to Mat Tari for 33 years and was a devoted mother to her daughter Kamie Redinbo. She was also a proud grandmother to Jason Redinbo (Erica), Matt Redinbo (Angela), and Katelyn Griffith (Marc). Dottie very proud to be a great-grandmother to: Hadley Johnson, Caidance Griffith, Kallie Griffith, Leah Redinbo, Harper Redinbo, Braxtyn Youree, Logan Redinbo, Bryleigh Griffith, and Maddisyn Griffith.
Family was everything to Dottie. She cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, always seeking news about her loved ones, sharing advice, and laughing about memories and the kids’ activities. Dottie was her daughter's biggest cheerleader, constantly expressing her pride and support and NEVER the first to hang up on a phone call.
In her free time, Dottie enjoyed bingo, fishing, and making cards. She had a collection of cows and angels that brought her great joy. Dottie was also a fan of Dr. Jeremiah's teachings and found solace in his words.
Dottie received her degree in Music from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin. Her love for music led her to pursue a career as a musician. She had a special talent for music and dedicated over 50 years as an organist and church choir director in many churches. Dottie's love for music brought joy to many. She dedicated her life as a musician to give praise to her Lord, Jesus Christ.
A memorial service to celebrate Dottie's life will be held on December 30, 2023, at 2:00 pm. The service will take place at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens in Naples, FL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to A Foundation Building Strength (https://buildingstrength.org/) or the American Diabetes Association (https://diabetes.org/). These organizations were close to Dottie's heart and supporting them would honor her memory.
