

Lois “Elaine” Osborn Sauer, born March 3, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully in Naples, Florida on October 3, 2022 at the age of 92. She is survived by her beloved husband of 74 years, Richard Sauer, age 95, of Naples, Florida. Their courtship began on their first date May 16th, 1947 seeing the movie The Beginning Or The End as chronicled in Elaine’s 250 page scrapbook where she documented more than 200 dates proving she knew “it was meant to be”. Elaine and Richard were married in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on September 9, 1948. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Sauer, one sister Frances, children, Sharon Prentice (Allman Todd), Steven (Colette) Sauer, and Robert (Michele) Sauer. She was steadfast in her love for her four children and was there for them through thick and thin. She is pre-deceased by her loving parents, Harry and Eva Osborn, son James Sauer, sisters Eleanor and Elizabeth. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who are thankful to have grown up witnessing the greatest love story ever and benefiting from her compassion, generosity and love of dancing and celebrating the good life!

A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
