Eloise (Ellie) M. McCullough, 89, Bonita Springs, FL, died Friday, May 3, 2019 at Joanne’s House, Bonita Springs, surrounded by her family. She was born July 30, 1929 in Miller City, Ohio to the late Alex and Mary (Morman) Ellerbrock. On September 5, 1953, she married Wilbur McCullough who preceded her in death on February 18, 2011.
More than anything, Eloise loved her family very much. She also loved all animals and traveling to national parks. She owned and operated Shells and Things in Bonita Springs in the 1980’s. Even while struggling with health issues, she had plans and dreams, many of which centered on upcoming visits from family. She lived her life well and will be deeply missed.
Eloise is survived by three children, Jeff (Chris) McCullough of Meadville, Lana (Dan) Mesley of Meadville, Jim McCullough of Bonita Springs, three grandchildren, Joe Mesley, Alex (Heidi) Mesley, and Laura (Mike) Cicci, a great granddaughter, Maddalena , two sisters, Alice Koch of Ottawa and Marilyn (Leo Herman) Wannemacher of Cloverdale, three brothers, Ken (Kathleen) Ellerbrock of Kalida, Don (Rose) Ellerbrock of Miller City, and Karl (Theresa Gable) Ellerbrock of Glandorf, sister-in-law Dorothy Ellerbrock of Glandorf and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eloise was preceded in death by a brother Richard Ellerbrock, brother-in-laws Joseph Koch and Roger Wannemacher, sister-in-law Joyce Ellerbrock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Church of the Ascension, Fort Myers Beach, FL. Entombment will follow at Naples Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 on Wednesday, May 15 at Hodges Funeral Home in Naples.
