"Looking back, there are so many people who have made my life meaningful. My devoted parents, my steadfast brother, and my wonderful sister who I was so very close with throughout my adolescence and beyond. Gloria: the love of my life. Each of my sons: Michael, John, Joel, and Danny… and their beautiful wives. My seven wonderful grandchildren who have provided me years of joy and happiness. My three great-grandchildren who keep me on my toes. And more dogs than I can count or even recall by name—but each of whom have added humor and companionship. Every member of my family…all my loving friends. I sit here today thankful and blessed by God. In some ways, I know my recollections do not even begin to scratch the surface of experiences and stories I want to share. Recalling so many things is tough, specifically in the details, but I thank the Lord everyday for all those pleasures. My hope now is that my own children, and their children, will also have good memories."
Frank Iannuzzi, 2012. (The above passage was transcribed by his granddaughter, Kristen Iannuzzi, through interviews during the summer before his 90th birthday.)
