Gertrud "Trudy" Margarete Graham

Trudy was born in Koln Germany, She grew up with a spirit of resilience, kindness and quiet strength that would shape her entire life.

She met Richard Graham while working at the US Air Force Base in Kaiserslautern, Germany. On February 22,1958 she bravely embarked on a new chapter immigrating to the United States. She proudly celebrated that date her entire life. Just months later on June 19, 1958 she married the love of her life, Richard.

They built a beautiful life together for 46 years until his sudden passing on October 23, 2004.

Trudy took great pride in creating a warm, welcome home for her family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Mark and Kim. She discovered Hatha Yoga in the early 1970’s. She put her soul into yoga, becoming a self-taught beloved instructor in Lake County, IL for over 20 years.

In 1998, Richard and Trudy retired to Naples, FL where she lived out her life, first at Tarpon Cove Tennis Club and then at Bentley Village.Her retirement years in Naples, Florida were filled with tennis, sunshine, and the companionship of many dear friends.

Trudy is survived by her son Mark (Sheryl) Graham, daughter Kim (Kevin) Crocker, sister Heidi (Kenneth) Gorman, sister in law Hannelore Falkenbach, grandchildren Tyler (Sherry) Graham, Kelly Crocker, Stephanie Graham, and Reed (Hallenna) Graham and great grandchildren Nathan, Bennett, Griffin, Allison, and Lillian Graham, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Jordan Pollock. Trudy was predeceased by her husband Richard, brother Willi, sister Maria, and grandson Kyle.

The family would also like to extend its sincere thanks to Anyela Toth for her personal care of Trudy for the past year.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

On January 10, 2026, interment will be at Noon at Hodges Funeral Home at Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave North, Naples, FL 34108.

At 1 pm, a Celebration of Life will be held at Vi at Bentley VIllage East Clubhouse, 850 Retreat Dr, Naples Fl 34110. Family and friends are encouraged to share stories and remembrances. Please join us at 1pm whether or not you can attend the Noon interment. Lunch will be served.
