Our Precious Papa, Strong and Loyal Husband, and Proudest, most Genuine Loving Daddy, Gregory Scott Biada, has passed away on Thursday, February 5th to be with his God and Father in Heaven. (January 3, 1953 - February 5, 2026)
He has crossed an Ocean we cannot yet follow, beyond our pain and understanding. He wanted, fought, to stay with his family but as always has taken the path “less traveled by” first “and that has made all the difference.” (Robert Frost)
He left an incredible legacy. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jeanne Biada, their four children and spouses and grandchildren: Erin (Biada) with Zach and Hanna Sidwell; Kristen (Biada) Wills, with Tony, Mackenzie and Tyler Wills; Kevin, Kristin, Riley and Avery Biada; and Brian, Brianna, Brooke, Addison and Baby B (due July 2026) Biada.
His family also includes his brothers and sister, Roger Biada (Ginny), Dave (Joyce) Biada, Laurie (Dale) Biada Robertson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
We will honor him, Thursday, February 12, 2026. And we welcome all who loved him in this life and the next.
Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 am at Hodges Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, right next door to the church: St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, FL. Mass will be at 11:00 am with a reception following in the church parish life center.
Born in Amherst, OH, on January 3, 1953, he was raised in the Cleveland area by his parents, Frank and Millie Biada. Sports, he excelled at many on the field, court, and course, guided his life, and the principles of which he passed on as an extraordinary coach. He was most proud to play football with his chosen brothers at John Carroll University (1971-1975).
He had a distinguished, decades-long career in the produce industry, but he always viewed his family, his wife, children, and grandchildren, as his greatest achievement. He raised his children mostly in Naples, FL. Later in life, he mastered golf, playing often at his local club, Arrowhead, almost daily. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, especially if it was on his boat.
May he golf and boat eternally.
