Gretchen L Horn

Gretchen L. Horn, 85, born in Johnson, PA, and raised in Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away quietly August 10, 2013. Upon graduating from Marion College in Marion, VA, she married her husband of 59 years, Charles L. Horn. Together they raised their family in Akron, OH, where they were active members of Faith Lutheran Church and Fairlawn Country Club.

Gretchen enjoyed golf, fishing and playing bridge. They built a home on Marco Island in 1969 before making it their permanent home in 1990. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce and Art League of Marco Island. She became a resident of Aston Garden in Naples, FL, in 2006.

Gretchen was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother. She is survived by her husband Charlie, daughters Cathy Dritenbas (Paul), Nancy Chonko (Arnie), grandchildren Alan Dritenbas (Alyssa), Ben Dritenbas (Sarah), Logan Dritenbas, Nadine Dowling (Robbie), Lia Frost (David), and Kylie Chonko (Alex).

Gretchen was the love of her family and will be greatly missed. A private burial will take place at the Memorial Garden at Marco Island Lutheran Church where she was a member for many years.
