Gustaaf H. Flier, 72, of Bonita Springs, Florida passed away on June 20th, 2017 surrounded by his family. Gus was born and raised in Huizen, Holland in 1945 where he met his wife Annelieke in high school. Gus and Lieke shared a wanderlust that took them around the world. Gus was a successful entrepreneur who built his own company "GFI Inc." an international chemical commodities business. Gus retired early at the age of 50 and used his knowledge to help other young entrepreneurs pursue their dreams. Gus enjoyed his time fishing, boating, scuba diving, hunting, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family.
Gus is survived by his wife, Annelieke; three daughters, Sharon (Alexander) Smith, Lisa (Michael) MacDonald, Mandy (Leandro) Etcheverry; and six grandchildren, Samuel, Luke, Owen, Phineas, Ana, and Leon.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 4:00pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens (525 111th Ave. N. Fl, 34108).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The National Veterans Foundation or Friends of St. Jude.
