Joan Adele Kessler

Joan was born in NYC on September 19, 1941. She attended public school at Winthrop JHS. Then Wingate HS, all in Brooklyn, NY. She then attended the University of Texas for one semester before returning to NY where she met and married her husband of 61 years Joel Kessler. They had two sons, Steven & Marc and four grandchildren David, Samantha, James & Molly all currently residing in Las Vegas, NV.

Joan was a bookkeeper by trade and over the course of their marriage they moved many times including to Port Jefferson Long Island, Yorktown Heights in Westchester County NY, Stuart FL, Bal Harbor FL, Adventura FL, and Houston TX and then to Naples FL in January 2000. She worked as a bookkeeper for Holland Salley Interior Design and then several property management companies before retiring. She was fortunate to travel with her family to Hawaii three times and to Europe with her husband several times as well as trips to the Caribbean several times.

She was preceded in death by her father Samuel Steigman her mother Helen Steigman, and her brother Martin Steigman.

By her wish she will be cremated and her remains will reside in her home in the Vineyards with her husband Joel and the remains of her beloved Bijon Friese Snowball.

A memorial service will take place at Temple Shalom at 4630 Pine Ridge Road, Naples on Friday March 15th at 10:00 AM
