JoAnn was born in Titusville, PA to Milan and Ann Mihailov on November 21, 1937. She lived her life to the fullest and always with a smile. She brought a true light, and strong positive force to the world, that was undeniable.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Thomas L. Eck of Cincinnati, OH/Naples FL and brother John Mihailov of Dallas, TX.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter Susan Clune (Patrick) of Naples, FL, and grandchildren Katie Pritchett of Cincinnati, OH, Alex Pritchett of Houston, TX and Adam Pritchett of Houston, TX. JoAnn is also survived by her husband’s children, Marilyn Eck of Milford, OH, Michael Eck (Denise) of Cincinnati, OH and John Eck of Houston, TX and grandchildren Kristen Eck Moses (Tim), Christopher Eck (Ariel) and Danielle Eck.
A Celebration of Life Gathering was held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at JoAnn’s church home, North Naples Church and was well attended by dear friends from her many bible studies, volunteer opportunities, beloved Pastors, relatives and close acquaintances throughout the Naples community.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 11:30am-1pm at Christ Church Glendale, 965 Forest Avenue, Glendale, OH.
The family of JoAnn wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Emily Essert for her constant, loving care; Dr Sacino; and all the doctors and nurses from NCH and Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital for their care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Naples Church, Friends of the Library, Humane Society of Naples, or the Holocaust Museum of Naples.
