The kind, gentle, loving soul of John G. Torinese departed at sunset on Sunday, April 27th, leaving behind his true love of 60 years, Rina, devoted daughters Louise, Debbie and Christine, adoring grandchildren Evan and Sara, caring sons-in-law T.J. and Rich, and dear sister Gloria. His family will forever miss his bursting with sunshine, bright shiny smile, generous golden heart, and effortless ability to shower their lives with laughter and unconditional love.
John grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, raised his family in Syosset, Long Island, and retired to Naples, Florida, three of the places where he made the most people smile, laugh, and feel at ease with his unmatchable generosity and rare ability to tell a captivating one-of-a-kind story.
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, July 6, 2025, to celebrate John’s precious life and see him off into the great beyond where his family look forward to reuniting one day with their most beloved and cherished husband and father. The gathering of friends and family will begin at 2pm with services to follow at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home located at 125 W Old Country Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801.
