

Daughter of Rose Coggan Wertheimer and Jack Russell Wertheimer, she is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years Dr. Morris J. Lipnik, Daughters Susan (John) Bustard of Havertown, PA and Carol (Jerry) Sebastian of Estero, FL, Grandchildren Jamie (Jason) McNatt, Stephen (Annie) Viola, and Julia (Mark) Laird, and Great Grandchildren Katherine Viola, Colin & Rory McNatt and Jordan Laird, as well as many friends and colleagues.
Formerly of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Lois was a graduate of Denby High School where she enjoyed entertaining in the theatre and on radio. She graduated Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech, and later, Wayne State University where she earned her Master of Arts degree. She enjoyed her time as President of the Student Governing Board at Northwestern, President and Founder of Northwestern Independent Association, a Member of the Red Cross War Council, Student Body Council and President of several subdivisions. In Naples, Florida, she shared her talents and experience as President of the Naples Players Theatre Guild, Committee Member of the NCH Foundation, Salvation Army Advisory Council, and Board Member of the Holocaust Museum of Naples, The Philharmonic Center for the Arts and Artis-Naples. She was a lifetime Mensa Member and had a lifelong passion for learning which contributed to her brilliant bridge playing. She enjoyed boating and traveling with her husband. She was the center of attention, the life of the party and the Belle of the Ball.
Services will be held at Hodges Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 30th at 6:00 PM with Internment at Naples Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Artis-Naples or a charity of your choice.
