I lived across the street from Mike for many years. Mike was a great neighbor and human being. Since I moved away, I miss our almost daily interactions, talking about the military, his career at GM, and helping him lift his flagpole Christmas tree every year. I would drive by his house anytime I'm in the area to see if I can catch him riding his bicycle around the neighborhood. Rest in Peace, Mike! I will never forget you.

You and Lisa had a good time when she visited just before you passed. I’m so glad she was able to be there with you. You took her out in the yard. Of course she held your hand to help you so you wouldn’t fall you had to pick up your yard, you couldn’t leave it messy. Everybody knew you took care of your yard. It was your obsession. Sure wish you were here now. the yard needs picked up, but you’ll be out there walking around all the time making sure everything is just so so. Lisa loves you so much. She talks about you all the time and this day that will remain in her memory forever.

This is the last Christmas we had together. The whole family came. I’m so glad you were so happy to have them there tried so hard to remember each one all day long you did pretty good and you had a wonderful time and we had a wonderful time with you. You’re still in all my Christmases. You always will be till I’m with you again. I love you, sweetie. I miss you so.

I’m sure you still miss fishing, but I think you’re still out there. I see the big fish jump every once in a while that must be you catching another one. I posted this so you could see and everyone could see the big fish you used to catch you were so happy you’d bring them up to the house and flop them in my face, drip them all over the floor, but you were so proud. I miss seeing you catch those fish but like I said, I think you’re still out there and I think you’re still catching them catch a big one for me, Mike I love you, BIBBY

What great neighbors you were to us when we lived on Columbia Street.  Thank you for being a friend to me.  For some reason I was thinking of you tonight and found this obituary.  Thanks to both of you, my wife says I have O.C.D. when it comes to taking care of my yard.  LOL!!   Yes it rubbed off on me and I would think of you often when working in the yard.  Mike you always had an impeccable yard and not  a weed in the garden or flower beds.  As a Pastor, my prayer is that you ran your race to win the eternal prize and I hope to see you one day soon.  You made a difference in my life!

I cannot  believe it has been a whole year today that you have been gone.  You have never not been in my mind and thoughts. I cannot remember a life before you , you and I were together 55 years. I still smell you , and feel you, and see you everywhere, every minute of every day.  My life seems to have stood still. I get out of my chair and reach behind me for your hand.  It’s not there and  I feel I can’t take a step without you. I love you still and will be with you soon. Make a place for me , cause I am still right behind you. I love you. Your Susie❤️

Words cannot describe how saddened we are about Mikes passing. He was the best neighbor, always willing to help. He and Sue were our first friends when we moved here in 2005. I've known Mike as long as Sue. He was always energetic and on the go. Mike had an infectious smile and kind heart. And he loved Susan.   Never any doubt about that. He was always helping someone. He loved his Sarah & Dan & all the grandkids for sure. We always lived far enough apart that I wasn't able to visit as often as I wanted. But when I did it was if I'd just seen him yesterday. Kathleen and I were very shocked and saddened  to hear of Mike’s passing. We considered Mike a good friend. We enjoyed all the times we went different places and played Deimos with you and Mike. He was always there when we needed help with something. Weather it be to watch over the house/pool and water Kathleen’s plants when we went out of town, or to help install a new back garage door, Mike was always there. He was a true christen man always friendly to everyone. He loved people and loved talking with them. We lived in the neighborhood before y’all moved in but Mike knew everyone most of whom we did not know. He made friends with everyone. He became friends with Jeff and his wife Windy. When Mike found out that Jeff was a minister at Idlewild Baptist Church, he told him that he had never been baptized, and asked Jeff to baptize him. MIke invited us to attend his baptism. We were very happy and felt honored that he asked us to attend and witness the solum and sacred ceremony. Mike will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him, especially the residents of the Willow Bend Subdivision, in Lutz, Florida. I will always be grateful for the time we spent together in March, talking, laughing and picking up palm fronds from your beautiful yard. We walked around, held hands and just talked,it didn't matter what it was about. You were a constant in my life since I was 5 years old. I broke my foot with you ate my first Big Mac and you, Susie and I took so many trips to Cedar Point and had so much fun, I will always remember "Project"❤️ Time and distance kept us apart for a while, I will forever be thankful that you were back in my life. Fly high sweet brother, give everyone up theree hugs for me. I will never forget you. Until we see each other again, I love you.

We are so blessed to have been a part of Mikes life. He always brought a smile to our face and a warmth to our heart by just visiting. We looked forward to him pulling up on his bike to chat. Mike was a true friend and neighbor who was always willing to help you out whatever you were trying to do.  He offered his time, experience and many times tools to get things done.  He always had other neighbors stopping by to talk to him every day.  He use to tell me and my wife every morning on our way to work “another day at the salt mines huh”.  RIP Mike you deserve it!!
