Sharon Rose Levitsky

Sharon was born on May 12, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a wonderful mother to Amy and her husband Brian, a loving and fun grammy to Isabelle, David and Leo, and a sweet sister to brother Mel and sister-in-law Joni z”l. She was a caring daughter to her parents David and Molly Levitsky who preceded her in death.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in elementary education. As a teacher for the Osseo school district and preschool teacher and camp director at the Minneapolis JCC, she touched many children’s lives. Despite working and being a single-parent, she was always there for her daughter. She made mothering by phone an art form. After retiring from the State of Minnesota, she spent countless time with her grandchildren, who she adored. She was a kind soul who was beloved by all who met her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made so many people smile and laugh.

She left her family and friends with beautiful memories that will be cherished and never forgotten.
