Rev. Stephan Louis Nagy

Rev. Stephan Louis Nagy, 78 of Naples, FL went home to be with his Lord on February 16, 2017 in Naples, Florida. Born in Toledo, OH on March 12, 1938 to Stephen L. and Mary Nagy. Served as a Merchant Seaman under Coast Guard 2 years on SS Edmund Fitzgerald. Owner/operator of dry cleaning businesses in Toledo, OH. In 1978, returned to complete education at Capital University, Columbus, OH for his first love, serving the Lord in Christian ministry. While a student pastor at Hungarian Reformed Church in Columbus, OH, met and married Bethel Jane Andrews on August 26, 1978. He served as Sr. Pastor in Hungarian Reformed churches in Columbus and Cleveland, OH for 8 years. Due to illness, left the ministry to move to Naples, FL in 1985. Worked 18 years for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Naples and assisted in opening over 30 new hotels all over the world. In 2005, he returned to Christian ministry serving as Interim Pastor at Lely Presbyterian Church for 8 years. Since 2013, he was an active member at Covenant Church of Naples, as well as a passionate gardener and antique car collector. Survivors include: loving wife of 38 years, Bethel (Andrews) Nagy, children: Stephanie (Jeff) Vargo, Steve Nagy, Mary Anna Costanza. Grandchildren: Valerie, Robert, and Christina Costanza, Kimberly and Steven Nagy, and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by his dear mother-in-law, Orpah Andrews, sister-in-law, Karla (Ken) Andrews and brother-in-law, Ted (Janet) Andrews, and his loyal, loving German Shepherd, Mandy. Open viewing at Hodges Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave. N., Monday, February 20, 2017 from 4:30p.m. until 8p.m. A Celebration of Steve's life will be held at Covenant Church of Naples, 6926 Trail Blvd., officiated by Dr. Robert Petterson, with 10a.m. viewing, 11a.m. service followed by time of fellowship. Interment will take place at 2:30p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave. N.
