Thomas was born in Newark, NJ to Thomas Chiego and Connie Yanuzzi on March 1, 1940. He attended school in Newark, NJ, before marrying and settling in Summit, NJ, where he would raise his family. He married Phyllis Ann DiDomenico on November 24, 1962 in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, NJ.
After serving in the Army, Thomas worked as an operating engineer before retiring to Naples at the young age of 55. It was in Naples where Thomas would celebrate the saying that “Every Day is Saturday”!
Thomas was the ultimate provider for his family. Through his lifetime he supported his family, his parents and his grandchildren all towards the goal of creating a better life for all. Thomas was a wise man who’s compassion touched everyone he would meet. He was a man of deep faith. He was able to create a lasting impact on those he met because of his kind, yet humble personality.
He was a friend to all.
Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Chiego; his mother, Connie Chiego(Yanuzzi); and his sister, Rosemary DiMare(Chiego).
Thomas is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Chiego(DiDomenico); his daughter, Carolyn Chiego; his son, Thomas Chiego, & wife, Susie Chiego;
