

Thomas Edward Renaud, 42 of Naples, Florida, sadly stopped embarrassing his daughter with, “I just got out of prison,” jokes on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Tampa General Hospital due to a worn-out much used heart. He was the perfect father, loving husband, devoted brother and a great friend to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Tommy had an amazing smile and a one of a kind sense of humor that was guaranteed to make everyone around him laugh. He was a Sergeant at the Charlotte County Correctional Institution for the last 9 years. Prior to that, he worked as a volunteer fire fighter at the Isle of Capri Fire Department. He is survived by his wife Amy Renaud; Daughter, Jessie Renaud; 7 siblings, Anne Peshka and her husband Ed of CT, Suzy Straub of Naples, John Renaud of MA, Joe Renaud and his wife Christa, Tina Renaud, Michelle Renaud and Billy Renaud with his wife Teresa, all of Naples. Mother in law, Margaret Smith of Naples. Father in law, Ron Smith and his wife Sue of Bonifay. His sister in law Joy Smith of VA and Rhonda Council of Cape Coral. Brother in laws, David Smith with his wife Nikki and Frankie Perry of AL. He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday March 31st at Hodges Funeral Home at 525 111th Ave N Naples, Fl 34108. Viewing will be held from 3-7pm and the service will be from 7-8pm.
