Wanda was born on March 27, 1945, in Warsaw, Poland, to the late Edmund and Hanna Szpalerski. She received a Master of Liberal Arts from the University of Warsaw in Poland and studied accounting and finance at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, Canada.
Beyond her role as a mother, Wanda worked at the New York Community Bank. She later fulfilled her passion for floral design and opened Berry Hill Florist in Syosset, New York.
Wanda is survived by her son Victor (Carina) and is predeceased by her daughter Maggie, parents Edmund and Hanna Szpalerski, brother Zbigniew Szpalerski, and former husband, Dr. Andrzej Lysikiewicz.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them at a graveside service at Naples Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 am.
