Alamae "Vickey" Henley, 83, was called home to Heaven on February 29, 2016. Survived by her loving Husband of 55 years, Carl Henley. Beloved Mother of Melanie Dalmado and her husband Shawn, and her son, Steve Giveans. Six Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Mother, the late Mathilde and Father, Fontnell Milligan; and siblings, Clarence Milligan, Richard Milligan and Elise Milligan Dubroc. Mrs. Henley was a native of Mansura, La. and a resident of Terrytown, La. for 55 years. Before retiring, she enjoyed working for the original Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans for many years in the Accounting Department. She was also the French Interpreter for the hotel to accommodate their guest from France. She was an excellent cook, and was proud that the hotel named one of their meals after her. Friends and Family are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Ponchatrain Blvd, New Orleans, La. on Saturday, March 5th from 8:30 -1:00 with a Catholic Funeral Mass to begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
