Today is an anniversary of probably the worst day of my life. The day my mom left this world forever. It’s sad to know that I can’t hold her hand , hug her or hear her voice (I have a cousin that sounds like her, it creeps me out. It’s a blessing too). I see her in my mind, her beautiful face, I smile. But then I get angry and wonder why she had to go. I had still so much to show her, still so much to do with her. Time mom time, I just needed time.  I know I’ll see her and the rest of my family, whom I miss so  much again someday. First thing I will ask my mom is Why! She had to leave so soon? Why?

One year later….. it has been an absolutely awful year trying just trying to make it.  The first months were difficult, it was just so hard. Then the pain became less and less but then a memory just brought it all back. Saints games were difficult to hear and watch. Every loss was because my mom wasn’t around to cheer them on, every win was in her memory.  Losing Sean Peyton was fitting, an end of an era like an end to their biggest fan, my mom. I miss her so much. Her hugs, her laugh, her voice, her cooking, her fussing at me (not so much). If I could hug her just one more time, I don’t think I could let go.  You left to soon, I wish you had not. There are so many things I had left to share. 2020 was awful. 2021 took you. 2022…..my fingers are crossed. I love you mah and I miss too soooo much. But I will see you again some day. I will hug you again and I will not let go.

Alba was a joy to have on our trips with Golden Opportunity members.  She was not only a member but a friend. I smile every time I think of how much she enjoyed the events and I remember her voicemail message.  She will be missed for her wonderful personality and kind heart.

I’ll always have fond memories of my dear friend Alba. Her beautiful smile, outgoing personality and quit wit made her the go to girl on our outings; everyone  who knew her will miss her. 
My heart aches for you and your family, I’ll never forget Alba’s generosity, graciousness and strong faith in God. My family and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Recordaré  la Tia que Siempre que  salía andaba muy Elegante ! La Tia con sus aretes y collar muy bonitos que ella lució siempre muy bien! La Tia con sus Zapatos de Tacón  y cartera del mismo color! Como yo no Lucia con los collares  y aretes  como mi Tia Coly,  usó  la cadena y aretes de plata  más  sencillo! Los Zapatos de Tacón si los  use hasta  que  pude!  Aún mis Zapatos y cartera  tienen qué  ser del mismo  color!  Si mi Tía Coly  me deja algo que  quería  verme  Elegante  como Ella!  Bonito  Consejos  que  me dio! Y que decirles como vestirse para ir a la Casa de Dios! Es como si vamos  a una Fiesta!
Hasta  el día de hoy  sigo su consejo! Tengo otros Consejos  de mi Tía Coly  muyyy  buenos qué me an servido en mi Vida! La Alegría con que  Siempre  Lucía  aún si hubiera tenido  un mal rato  o mal día! Que me dicen  de su arte Culinario?Quien  comió  Cerdo Hornado / Papas Hornadas?  Me dio la receta  lo hice con ella pero no me queda igual como mi Tía Coly!   Consejos! Recuerdos! Qué  me deja TIA!  Se lleva  mi Amor y Respeto! ADIOS!

I am a volunteer at Golden Opportunity senior group at Ochsner and had contact with Alba. She was a happy and fun loving lady. I will  miss our conversations and talking and laughing! She was always anxious to go on an outing and certainly enjoyed herself! I will  miss her. So sorry  to hear of her passing  and my prayers  are with her husband and family.

Alba brought so much love and laughter into my life. Her presence was like a ray of sunshine. There is a hole in my life without her. I miss my little friend so much, and it breaks my heart that I will never hear her cute accent again. I am so blessed to have known her and will forever treasure the memories of the time we had together. Love you my friend ❣
