She graduated from Mount Carmel Academy and earned her Bachelor’s from Xavier University and Master’s from Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. She worked as an ESL Teacher, where she found a great love in teaching elementary school kids.
Alisia was a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and International Shrine of St. Jude, and prayer was especially important to her. She played tennis, was a huge Saints Fan, and enjoyed watching documentaries. She was well-educated and had an IQ that was three points away from genius – a fact that she never let anyone forget. Alisia was very funny, and though she was a blunt person, her empathetic, compassionate, caring personality truly shown through as she always helped anyone who came across her path and was very doting to those she loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Brooke Smith, and by much-appreciated, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends.
