Ann Regina Laiche passed away with her loving family at her bedside on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the age of 68. She was a native of New Orleans, a longtime resident of Metairie and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish.
She began her career in banking at Pelican Homestead and then as a loan officer at Whitney National Bank. Ann was a dedicated employee as the Director of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She worked tirelessly, along with her mother, Aldear Laiche, to develop and open the St. Vincent De Paul Pharmacy for the poor. She then moved on to an area of service working for Christopher Homes where she managed and gave aid to some of the Catholic elder facilities in New Orleans.
After Hurricane Katrina, Ann became a dear friend to the Sisters of Charity Federation. Ann served as a member of the House of Charity advisory committee and she volunteered with many young adults and sisters who came to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and beyond. It was a spirited effort by the House of Charity and Ann to give back to the community and later Ann became an Associate of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. She completed her long and successful career of service by working at Ochsner Golden Opportunity Program for Elders.
Ann is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul G. Laiche Jr. and Aldear Descant Laiche. She was a loving sister of the late Paul G. Laiche III (Charlene Toups), the late Robert J. Laiche (the late Connie Maggio), Mark D. Laiche (Terri Schrempp) and Daniel B. Laiche (Karen Margavio). Ann had a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who enjoyed countless adventures and her fun filled personality for many years.
