Anne DeRussy Leonard

Anne DeRussy Leonard, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at home. Anne was born in New Orleans to the late Gladys Voelkel DeRussy and Charles Nolte DeRussy. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Charles Leonard; her brothers, C. Nolte DeRussy and John George DeRussy.

She is survived by her children, Charles DeRussy Leonard (Holly) of Baton Rouge, LA, John Pauly Leonard (Lisa) of New Orleans, LA, and Louisette Leonard Scott (Roderick) of Mandeville, LA; seven grandchildren, John (Paul) Pauly Leonard, Jr. (Kristen), William James Leonard, Marguerite (Margaret) Kidd Baker (Allen), Catherine Kidd Parks (Billy), Sarah Elizabeth Kidd, Christina Leonard Landreneau (Ellis) and Nicholas Charles Leonard; ten great-grandchildren and her brother, Cortes Eugene DeRussy.

Anne graduated from Academy of the Sacred Heart and attended Maryville College and Newcomb College where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She loved to be with family, travel, garden, have lunch with friends, and feed the ducks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Monday, July 25, 2022. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. with mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be Private.
