Anthony J Milazzo Sr.

Anthony J. Milazzo, Sr., born on October 27, 1918, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Lucille Catherine Fontana Milazzo. Father of Tony Jr. (wife Patsy), Claudia Tibbetts (husband Dave) and Tommy (wife Robyn). Grandfather of Tony Milazzo, III (wife Christie), Eric Milazzo (wife Jenny), Jason Franco (wife Emily), Kristin Adams (husband Alton), Jordan and Devin Milazzo. Great-Grandfather of Cate, Madeline, Sadie and Mackenzie Milazzo, Benjamin Franco, Brady Adams and Aubrey Milazzo.

Preceded in death by his parents Antonino Milazzo and Salvatrise Marengo Milazzo and his sisters, Bessie Trahant and Dina Scaturro.

Mr. Milazzo was born in Bayou Goula, LA and resided in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina. Since then he was a resident of Covington, LA. He was a parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church and St. Pius X Catholic Church. As a member of “The Greatest Generation” he proudly served in the U.S. Navy from July 1940 to October 1945, primarily in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday October 17, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6665 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
