Antoinette “Toni” A. Augustin Schwartz passed away on October 30, 2021 at the age of 70. She was born on January 30, 1951 in Bell County, Texas to James H. Augustin and Joanne F. Kilinsky Augustin. She attended Bellhaven College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts on December 18, 1991. She furthered her education at the University of New Orleans, where she received her Master of Education on December 15, 2000.
She worked as a school teacher, and “Miss Aug” was the best teacher anyone could ask for. She was an avid reader, book collector, and a practical Jeopardy Queen. She was an artist, a cat lover, a Rummy Q player, and an expert on the topic of British Monarchy. She is survived by: her husband of 15 years, Robert “Bob” M. Schwartz; her sons, Joey Roberts (René), Andy Roberts (Deborah), Dann Schwartz (Colette); her daughters, Laura Delucia and Becky S. Corbett; her grandchildren, Will Roberts, Molly Roberts, Morgan Roberts, Rachel Schwartz (Noam Algazy), Jordan Schwartz (Kelli), Max Gutman, Sarah Gutman, and Liz Corbett; and her great-grandchild, Cooper Schwartz.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans. A service will immediately follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m.
Masks are required in the parlor and chapel.
