Aubrey Angelle Pitre

Aubrey Angelle Pitre, 30, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. She is survived by her mother, Kathy Perkins; sisters, Autumn Gordon (Jordan) & Patience Matherne (Robert); grandparents, JoAnn Perkins, Tarro Pitre; uncles, Timmy Perkins (Jonni), Terry Perkins, Darren Pitre (Celeste), Damion Pitre (Rozland), Dwain Pitre (Paulette); nephews, Colton, Mason, Lucah, Sloan, Oliver and Daniel; niece, Claire; cousins, Blaine Perkins, Jordyn Perkins and many more; best friend of 22 years, Lacie Mouney Dennis; boyfriend of 3 ½ years, John Champagne.

She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Pitre; grandparents, Sidney Perkins, Robelyn Pitre.

Aubrey was one of the sweetest angels to ever walk this Earth. She loved to dance and sing. She loved animals especially her dogs, Tinkerbell & Espy. She adored her cat, KiKi. Aubrey loved to travel. She loved to be pampered whether it was getting her beautiful hair done or a day at the spa. She always looked gorgeous with or without all that fancy makeup. Aubrey inspired so many in her 30 years of life. She was a warrior until the end. No matter how many times she wanted to give up she always found the strength to keep going. Her fight will not be forgotten. Her life will be celebrated. Her smile will be remembered. Her memory will live on. She is our guardian angel now. It’s time for those angel wings to fly the way they were meant to.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the SPCA or the Chad Barcia Athlete Awareness Foundation, 4425 Richland Avenue, Metairie, LA 70002.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
