Mr. Auburn A Quigley

Auburn A. “Rock” Quigley, Sr. died peacefully at home in Metairie, LA on May 7, 2016 at the age of 86. Auburn is preceded in death by his beloved "Doll", Marian Perilloux Quigley of 66 years. He is also preceded in death by his parents; Edwin Quigley, Sr. & Agnes Smith Quigley; siblings, Edwin Quigley, Jr., Gloria Quigley Schroeder and Jackie Quigley LaNasa. He is survived by his children, Sharon Quigley Morvant (Steve), Holly Quigley Toups (Raymond), Auburn (AJ) Quigley, Jr., Dale Quigley (Tiffany) and Michael Quigley (Lisa). He adored his 10 grandchildren; Shaun Morvant, Bliss Morvant Magee, Brandi Ryan Wimberly, Chad Quigley, Jared Morvant, Crystal Quigley Comeaux, Allison Shannon Tassin, Corey Quigley, Ched Quigley and Angelina Quigley; 18 great grandchildren, Sheyenne, Isabelle & Landon Morvant, Slade Bales, Sierra & Kenzie Joiner, Kaide & Paisley Magee, Jonah Morvant, Thane & Bailey Wimberly, Hendrix Quigley, Marlee & Alexa Comeaux, Colin & Claire Quigley, Silas Tassin and Gotti Quigley. He is also survived by a sister, Beverly Quigley Vaughan. Auburn retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked as a clerk for over 45 years. He was an active member of St. Benilde Church for many years, as well as a member of the Oblates of St. Benedict. Auburn was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard in New Orleans, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m.
