

Betty Brooks Rombach Trosclair passed away at the age of 90 on July 6, 2022. She was born on November 13, 1931 to the late John T. Brooks and Viola Malloy Brooks in New Orleans. She worked as a supervisor with Bell South Telecommunication and was a board member of Kenner North Kiwanis Club, an officer of the Krewe of Iris, and was crowned Queen of Iris for Mardi Gras of 2000.
She is survived by: her husband, Carroll Paul Trosclair; her daughter, Deborah Rombach Auster (John); her brother, Bill Brooks; her grandchildren, Kimberly Canarte (Berto), Jason Eddlestone, and John Matthew Auster (Katherine); her great-grandchildren, Jessica Canarte, Nicholas Canarte, Carter Eddlestone, Arabelle Auster and Ariana Auster; her step-children, Lynne Murphy (Robert), Thomas B. Trosclair (Rose), and Dr. Gary S. Trosclair (Nancy); and her step-grandchildren, Lindsay Maloan (Drake), Melissa Trosclair, Candace Phillips (Thorn), Mark Trosclair (Danelle), Patrick Murphy (Emily), Zoe Trosclair and Thea Trosclair.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, La. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a Chapel service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
