

She grew up in Golden Meadow, LA. She was a member of the United Houma Nation tribe. After she met her first husband, Benito, they moved to New Orleans and then finally settled in Violet. They were happily married for 37 years until his death. She later remarried Zee and they were happily married for 10 years until his death.
She will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, never missing a Sunday mass. She was a senior care giver for over 40 years and had a strong work ethic she passed along to her children. She was a lover of Mardi Gras and in her later years her family would ensure that she would never miss a parade. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting the fairgrounds and watching horse racing. To her grandchildren she was known as Grandma and she was always quick to speak her mind. Her fiery spirit will live on forever in the generations that follow.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ophelia and Wilfred Williams, her first husband Benito Cuenca, her second husband Zee Ching, her son George Cuenca, and her 10 siblings.
She is survived by her sons Bennie Cuenca (Adreane) and Mack Cuenca (Suzanne). Her grandchildren: Robynn, Bruce, Derrick, Melissa, Christina, Brian, Kimberly, Brittany, and Brent. She leaves behind 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans on Tuesday, May 19, 8:30am. Mass will follow at 10:00am. Graveside will follow in Lake Lawn Park.
