Beulah D Turner

Beulah Dozier Turner, 102, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Kenner, La. She was born July 16th, 1913 in Plaucheville, La. to Alcide and Lela Grimble Broussard Dozier. Beulah is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Euris J. Turner, siblings, Ellison (Eunice) Broussard, J. Miller (Emmy) Broussard, Nolan Broussard, and Hilda (Oscar) Ernst and grandson, Jeffrey M. Balestra.

Beulah is survived by daughter, Wanda T. (Louie) Balestra and son, Leon J. (Peggy) Turner, grandchildren, Joseph (Sherry) Balestra, Cyndi B. (Art) Kirkland, Christopher (Shannon) Turner and Amy T. Clinton. She is further survived by great grandchildren, Christopher (Maikeli) Balestra, Craig Balestra, and Michael (Lindsay) Balestra, great-great granddaughter, Zoie Balestra. One sister, Juanita (Jerry) Henries also survives.

The family would like to give our heartfelt thanks to her caregiver Mrs. Trudy Wallace and her family. Trudy and her family allowed our mother to have a wonderful quality of life in the last years of her life.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 26th, 2015 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. with funeral service starting at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
