

Charles is now reunited with his parents, Charles and Adele Zeringue Thorsen, along with each of his adoring grandparents. He leaves behind his devoted brother Tim Thorsen, sister-in-law Lisa, niece and goddaughter Gabrielle T. Senentz, loving nephew Thomas Thorsen, bonus nephew (in-law) Daniel Senentz Jr., and a host of cousins scattered across the country.
Charles was born in New Orleans on December 9, 1949. He joined Whitney Bank in 1974 and served proudly for 36 years. He was a resident of Metairie for the past 30 years. Remembered for adding life to any party, Charles could always be counted on for lively conversation. He was a scholar of military history, with a particular interest in aviation, and shared his passion with his niece and nephews. Together, they also proudly cheered on the Saints and the Tigers.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the kind staff of St. Catherine’s Hospice and Colonial Oaks Living Center for caring for Charles up until his last day.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. An inurnment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
