Clara Petrossi Bonadona passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 101. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 12, 1922. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing card games.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Johnny A. Bonadona; and parents, Sam and Mary Petrossi.
Clara is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Stephens (the late Harold), Charlotte Simoncioni (Frank); grandchildren, Michael Soileau (Alison), Stephanie Pope (Eric), and Christi Breen (Patrick); and great grandchildren; Cole Soileau, Cassidy Soileau, Edward Pope, William Pope, and Christian Capoziello.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at The Blake at Colonial Club, Harmony Hospice, and Endless Compassion, particularly Michele Toye and Laurella Miller for their care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. After the chapel service, Clara will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park.
