Clara "Clarita" Ochoa

Clara “Clarita” Ochoa, age 81, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Jefferson, LA. Beloved mother of Jose G. Guzman (Lilia M.). Loving grandmother of Naomi G. Dugar (Paul) and Jose G. Guzman, II (Van). Great grandmother of Anahi and Alina. Sister of Manuel Ochoa (Linda), Carmen Raterman (Robert), Jorge Ochoa (Teresa) and the late Osmin Salmeron. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Gloria Salmeron; nieces, Anastasia Ochoa, Carmen Gomez; and nephews, Manuel Ochoa, Edgard Ochoa, Jorge Ochoa, Jr., Michael, Anthony, and James Raterman, and Frank Salmeron. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Luis Ochoa and Rosita Moreno de Ochoa. Clarita was born on April 7, 1934 in Santa Rosa De Lima, El Salvador and moved to New Orleans, LA in 1965. She retired in 1999 as a Commercial Banker with Hibernia National Bank of New Orleans, LA. She was the proud Matriarch of her family and will be dearly missed by those who loved her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM.
