Constance G. Scharwath

Her number one priority was always her family and grandkids. She liked to cook, especially for large crowds, and she loved to decorate for the holidays. She was a dedicated catholic and was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She loved to go get coffee with her son, Allen, and read their bibles.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald R. Scharwath; parents, Allen and Mazie Gremillion; daughter, Cathy Walk; son, Rodney Lemoine; sister, Jeanette Guilbeau; step-sister, Dean Lacomb; step-brothers, Steven Lacomb and Tyson Lacomb; and grandson, Brian Rodriguez.

Constance is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Gauthreaux (Roy); sons, Keith Lemoine, Roger Lemoine, and Allen Lemoine; grandchildren, Shannon Rodriguez (Nikki), Julie Rodriguez (Mark), David Rodriguez (Christy), Nicholas Lemoine (Audrey), Brandon Lemoine (Lara), Jamie Lemoine, Kaci Lemoine (Andre), Stephanie Joyner, and Taylor Dawney (Mike); and 31 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hessmer Nursing Home for the beautiful care provided and to All Saints Hospice for the perfect service provided.

A visitation for Constance will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124, followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum, which is on the same grounds as the funeral home.
